Published is not finished β published is just visible
Reviewing before launch was the only cheap moment to catch problems. That has not been true for years, and your best work is sitting unpublished because of it.

The lesson is written out below. The video comes after.
For most of internet history, publishing was expensive to reverse. A printed thing was printed. A page took a developer and a deployment. So the rule was: get it right before it goes out, because afterwards is the wrong time and the expensive place.
That rule was correct, and it is now obsolete, because an edit takes minutes. But almost nobody has updated the sequence in their head, so they keep paying a review cost that was priced for a world that no longer exists.
The consequence is specific and it is costing you: your best work is sitting in a folder, helping nobody, while a worse version of it from someone less careful is live and being useful. Publish at the point where it would help one person, and do the rest of the polishing in public.
The one thing to keep
Ship it, then improve it where it is already helping someone.
