The mode selector

Most AI coding tools now hand you several models at wildly different prices, and almost no guidance about which one a given job actually needs. So you either run the expensive one for everything and watch your credits evaporate, or you run the cheap one on something that needed the good one and spend an hour untangling the result.

This file fixes that by making your assistant declare, in one line, before it starts working: which model this task needs, and why.

The saving is real. But the reason I use it is that after a couple of weeks of reading that line, you have learned the pattern yourself and you do not need the file any more. That is what a good plug does — it teaches by repetition and then gets out of the way.

What it does, exactly

• Prints one short line before any real work starts: the fit, the model, and the reason.
• Uses a visible emoji so you cannot miss it in a wall of output.
• Stays silent on trivial turns, so it never becomes noise you learn to skip.
• Says when you are over-powered, not just under — that is where the money goes.

Honest limits

It is a judgement prompt, not a measurement. It cannot see your bill, and it has no special knowledge of your plan or your remaining credits. What it does is force a decision that is currently being made silently, into a line you can see and overrule.
